I came across this website while doing some research on sport and disability. I happen to play rugby at Slippery Rock University and was very interested in Quad Rugby. It makes me happy to see that people of all abilities could enjoy the sport that I fell in love with while in college. I wish you the best of luck during the season, and RUGBY RULES!!!!:)

I'm a recent incomplete C5-6, retiring from the Air Force in mid September due to my slight problem. haha I am very much interested in learning more and participating in quad rugby, if I meet the qualifications. I never new this type of sport existed prior to my injury. It's amazing the things that happen to make you aware. I saw some of the video of y'all against Australia. I was very impressed.

Blessings to you all and stay safe.

Greetings: While vacationing in Sweden last week, we were there in Goteberg on Saturday, June 1st to watch Team USA beat Australia in the semi-finals, and unfortunately had to leave on Sunday before the Gold medal round.

Our heartfelt feelings to team USA for a hard fought match on Sunday.

As U.S. citizens here in South Fla, we must tell you that we were so proud of our team, and had no idea of the level of expertise that these men possess. It was a true indication of the level of shallowness that many of us share by not knowing what these men are capable of doing.

Thank you TEAM USA for educating me personally, and making me a better person for it.

LETS GO!!

From:

This from Phil Jackson's "Sacred Hoops (Spirtual Lessons of a Hardwood Warrior)":

"Eventually, everyone loses, ages, changes. And small triumphs – a great play, a moment of true sportsmanship – count, even though you may not win the game. As strange as it may seem, being able to accept change or defeat with equanimity gives you the freedom to go out on the floor and give the game your all.

"I used to believe that the day I could accept defeat was the day I would have to give up my job. But losing is as integral a part of the dance as winning. Our culture would have you believe that being able to accept loss is tantamount to setting yourself up to lose. But not everyone can win all the time; obsessing about winning adds an unnecessary layer of pressure that constricts body and spirit and, ultimately, robs you of the freedom to do your best.

"When I learned to shift my focus – two steps forward, one step back – from winning and losing to my love of the game, the sting of defeat began to diminish...

"That's when you realize that basketball is a game, a journey, a dance – not a fight to the death.

"It's life just as it is."

You're all a credit to the game and to the USA!

TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CHAMPIONS.........YOU ARE #1 IN ALL OUR HEARTS AND MINDS.

We "seniors" were pulling so hard and yelling so loud during our Sunday School Class time that we were afraid we were disturbing the service in the sanctuary. We KNOW you are champions! Always have been and always will be!

"SUCCESS SEEMS TO BE CONNECTED WITH ACTION. SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE KEEP MOVING. THEY HAVE TOUCH TIMES, BUT THEY DON'T QUIT."

"...let us throw off everything that hinders....and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. " Hebrews 12:1

"UNLESS YOU TRY TO DO SOMETHING BEYOND WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY MASTERED, YOU WILL NEVER GROW." "..but one thing I do: FORGETTING what lies behind, I reach forward to what lies ahead." Philippians 3:13

"EVERY CHRISTIAN NEEDS HALF AN HOUR OF PRAYER EACH DAY EXCEPT WHEN HE IS BUSY. THEN HE NEEDS AN HOUR." Evening, morning and at noon will I pray, and cry aloud, and HE shall hear my voice. " Psalm 55:17 ********************** I am sure God understands a mothers heart and forgives her for taking her cell phone to church so she could get the scores .. When we received the call, we were disappointed. But that score did not change any of our feelings about your worth and ability. Every true American takes their hats off to you all! Hold your heads high....wished we were there to give you a hug.

Good Morning..TEAM USA, it.should be Sunday for ya'll.....as I am writing on Saturday here. Our days here are starting early early...like about 4am to make sure you all know we are standing with you! If you could see (by proxy) the strong contingent of USA fan's there in the gallery, you would feel our love and support!

And now this is the day......and for your infomation you will be playing for the World Championship at 9 am our time. Just the time when we start our JOY (Just Older Youth of 55+) class. The first thing on the agenda after the "Lord's Prayer" will be prayer for TEAM USA. Listen and you will hear about 70-75 people praying and yelling for the GOLD! Even though we are seniors, we still have a strong competitive spirt as we are proud AMERICANS! RED, WHITE & BLUE runs through our veins.

Since this may be our last correspondance, here are some "tid-bits":

"EVERY JOB IS A SELF-PORTRAIT OF THE PERSON WHO DOES IT. AUTOGRAPH YOUR WORK WITH EXCELLENCE." "Many...have done well, but you excel them all." Proverbs 31:29

"HE WHO CONQUERS OTHERS IS STRONG. HE WHO CONQUERS HIMSELF IS MIGHTY." "He is who slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit then he who takes a city." Proverbs 16:32

"DO NOT FOLLOW WHERE THE PATH MY LEAD....GO INSTEAD WHERE THERE IS NOT PATH AND LEAVE A TRAIL." "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it.." Isaiah 30:21

and finally.........................

"TRUE CONTENTMENT IS THE POWER OF GETTING OUT OF ANY SITUATION ALL THAT THERE IS IN IT". "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation...." Philippians 4:12

Love to all, you are the greatest! Thanks for representing us in these games.! We are so proud!
