Facilities:                                              
Gym – Internationally marked hardwood court.  Great videotaping space available and ample area for chair seating.  Facility is very nice, and is only 5 years old.  Chair storage area available at facility.

 

Housing – Most teams will be housed on campus and will be rolling distance from competition venue. The housing is hotel style, large houses, or large group lodges.  For additional housing we will use a hotel only ¾ mile from the venues. All team housing MUST come through our office.

 

Meals – All meals will be served in the Sports Training Facility Dining Hall.  Three hot meals a day are served buffet style.  The meals are nutritious and prepared with athletes in mind.

 

Other Recreation – The Sports Training Facility not only has all athletic facilities, but additionally it has a game room, golf course, outdoor walking trails, indoor and outdoor pools and a lake for fishing and boating.

 

Tournament Format:
This will be an 8 team tournament using the Paralympic format. Each country will get 5 games.

We will take the top 8 teams prior to the deadline. After the deadline the first 8 teams registered will be accepted.

 

Entry Fee:
$3,500 USD per country – Includes: ground transportation to/from Hartsfield International Airport (Atlanta), 3 hot meals a day, 5 nights of lodging, tournament souvenirs, awards, tournament administration and official fees. This fee is for 10 athletes and 4 staff.

 

Each person exceeding the 14 delegation total will be charged a $250.00 fee (based on 5 nights).

An extra nights stay including meals will be $50 per person/per night

 

Training Opportunities:
We can offer adequate gym time prior to the January 15th  arrival or after the 20th departure date for up to 3 countries. This is being offered on a first come first serve basis.  However, all countries can have a 2 hour training session Wed.-January 15th.

The fee for additional training days will be $40 per person per day. This includes lodging, transportation, meals, & facility fees.

Transportation:
Airport transportation will be provided to/from Hartsfield International Airport (Atlanta).  As time allows, some transportation into the town of Warm Springs (3/4 mile from facility) can be provided.  Additional transportation needs will be the responsibility of each country.  It is not required, but some teams have found that having one vehicle available for unexpected team needs is a nice perk.  The airport has ample car rental companies, and each company has the availability of hand controls. We will provide all emergency transportation needs.

 

Registration:

Send, fax, or e-mail the enclosed registration form and first payment – $1,750 USD. Final rosters, transportation forms, and final payment are due November 15, 2001.  A $50 late fee will be assessed if deadline is not met.
